1. Introduction & Data Controller

Welcome to Klovva. This service is operated by Tom Haskell, trading as Klovva ("we", "us", or "our"). For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Tom Haskell is the Data Controller responsible for your personal data. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

2. The Data We Collect

We collect and process the following data to provide the Klovva service:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Your name, email address, and account credentials.
  • Household & Child Data: Names, dates of birth, and profile details of children added to your household.
  • Logistics Data: Calendar events, group memberships (e.g., schools, clubs), and private household notes (e.g., packing lists, pickup instructions).
  • Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, and usage data to ensure our app functions correctly.

3. How We Use Your Data

We strictly use your data to deliver the Klovva service, including:

  • Synchronizing household schedules and generating packing lists.
  • Facilitating the sharing of schedules between authorized co-parents or guardians.
  • Sending transactional emails (e.g., household invitations, password resets).
  • Improving our platform's functionality and user experience.

4. Children's Data

Klovva is designed to be used by adults (parents and legal guardians) to manage family logistics. We do not permit children under the age of 18 to create accounts. By adding a child's profile to Klovva, you confirm that you are the legal guardian of that child and consent to the processing of their data within your designated household groups.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers required to operate our app (e.g., our secure database hosting provider and transactional email provider). These providers are legally bound to protect your data.

6. Data Security & Storage

Your data is stored securely on servers located in the UK/EU. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your private household notes and passwords.

7. Your Legal Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your data (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@getklovva.com.
